Juanita as a young woman in Puerto Rico

I will tell you about my mother, the best mother in the world and I kid you not.

We came here from Puerto Rico when I was a year old. I had not met my father yet, as he had come from the island earlier, before I was born, but mom made sure to let everyone know that I was not the milkman’s daughter.

I was blessed to have my mom until she was 88 and I was grown and middle-aged myself.
